Boxing is a fun and challenging class that not only improves endurance, but also works on strengthening the core. You will be taught boxing stances as well as various different punch combinations. You are encouraged to bring your own boxing gloves, but there are a few for loan (must be reserved before class). Sparring mitts will be provided. This class is not suitable for individuals with limited shoulder mobility/injury.

This new fusion class combine both dynamic and static stretching with a series of strength training exercises using hand weights. Whether you are a beginner or exercise daily, this class is sure to challenge you at your fitness level.
Location: Port Dover Library (conference room)
When: Fridays * please refer to sign up for available dates
Time: 11:30-12:30
Cost: $10 cash
Equipment: Bring your own hand weights and exercise mat

TRX is returning for another round! This class is host by Forever Young Family Fitness and is open to all fitness levels. New to TRX? Throughout this class you will be using your own body weight with the suspension straps to move through a variety of different exercises. You are taught proper form as well as difference stances depending on your fitness level or injury/mobility limitations.

YOU get to arrange a group of friends, pick the class type and time as well as location. Melissa will program a fun and challenging class along with all the equipment required (some class types might require participants to bring a few items). Check the class types offered below. If there is a specific class that would like Melissa to host, please contact her directly.
If you are looking for a more cost effective way to train with the assistance of a fitness personal, then this option might be for you. During the initial free consultation, you will be asked about your goals, obstacles, access to equipment, limitations as well as your current lifestyle. Melissa will customize a 4 week program for you based on information gathered during the consultation. The program will be delivered on the Forever Young Family Fitness app (hosted through PT Distinction). You will also have weekly calls with Melissa to address any concerns, talk about progress and discuss micro weekly goals. Are you a sports team looking to include dryland/gym training to your schedule? Melissa will meet with the coach of the team to go over objectives for the training program. All key areas will be included in the program; agility, speed, flexibility and strength.
